Businesses Support Maunalua Bay Independence Day

Despite the economic downturn, several East Bay businesses are stepping forward to support the second annual Independence Day at Maunalua Bay.

Foremost among them is Outback Steakhouse Hawaii Kai which has committed to be a Diamond Sponsor.

Diamond Sponsors contribute $10,000 or more to the community event celebrating freedom, family and friends on July 4 from 2 to 9p.m. at Maunalua Bay Beach Park. Continuous live entertainment headlined by Maunalua, free keiki ID and other keiki activities are planned throughout the afternoon with a spectacular fireworks show at 8 p.m.

Computer Security is Topic of SBH Sunrise

Smart Business Hawaii’s (SBH) monthly Sunrise Networking Breakfast is Thursday, July 30, in the Pineapple Room, Macy’s Ala Moana, 7 – 8:30 am.

Hawaii SuperGeeks president, James Kerr will give you important information on “Protecting the Security of Your Business Computer” at this month’s Sunrise. You’ve read about computer hacking, identity crisis and things that can be done with your business computer. Come and learn how to protect the security of your computers. Bring a guest!

Last month Tom Trenz of HI Net Associates discussed “Social Marketing Tips for Your Business.” Members at SBH Sunrise enjoy a complete buffet breakfast, free exhibit area, networking, and business introductions to boost their business. The public is welcome.
