Welcome to Small Business Hawaii We're Hawaii's most active, independent and effective small business advocacy organization. Small Business Hawaii (SBH) was founded in 1975 as the "Small Business Association of Hawaii" by legendary small business leader and tire dealer, Lex Brodie. SBH is a private, independent, tax exempt [501 (c) (6)] statewide association of 2,000+ business firms of all sizes and services. SBH is dedicated to improving Hawaii's business climate, creating a better Hawaii through private, competitive enterprise, and promoting, educating and effectively representing small business, while advocating tax reduction, lower business costs and job creation incentives to diversify Hawaii's economy. Our website is an information source for our members and the general public to use. We have more than 5 years worth of our monthly Small Business News issues archived here. The SB News is our organization's monthly newsletter. It provides business news, views, alerts and legislative activities that impact business in Hawaii.
