Business owner-members are the most important part of Small Business Hawaii, and the reason there is an SBH. Members enjoy a variety of group benefits and determine the organization's direction and activities by participating directly in decision making.

An elected volunteer Board of Directors, chosen from members, by members, determines policy, initiates benefits and projects, and implements programs of the association.

Each Director is an experienced small business owner or partner, and serves as an unpaid volunteer (except for the executive director) helping to operate the association for the benefit of the membership. A directorship is viewed as an active commitment to serve the members and to help provide leadership in our community. The Board elects its officers and meets monthly. (Members are always welcome). Call on any Director for business assistance.
