ACTION & ACTIVE ORIENTED!

SMALL BUSINESS HAWAII (SBH) is active, action-oriented with more than 2,500 successful small business member firms throughout Hawaii. SBH works to improve the business climate for all businesses, large and small, and to create jobs and enhance and diversify Hawaii's economy. SBH is operated by small business owners for small business owners.

TOTALLY INDEPENDENT

SBH is an independent organization, not part of any other business organization, nationally or locally. SBH is Hawaii's most effective small business advocacy organization, not afraid to take any position in support of its members. SBH is private; it neither seeks, nor accepts, any government subsidy for its operation. SBH is financed entirely by voluntary membership dues and fees. SBH does cooperate with other private and public agencies and shares business expertise on a voluntary basis.

WHO CAN JOIN SBH?

YOU CAN! SBH membership is open to any Hawaii business with a current Hawaii General Excise Tax License willing to actively support SBH's basic principles: the private, competitive market system, and improvement of Hawaii's business climate. No firm is too small - or too large - to become a member and help achieve SBH objectives. SBH does not accept members who only seek medical or other benefits; active participation is required.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

SBH membership doesn't cost - it pays! Dues are $200 a year or $350 for two years. All employees of a member firm are eligible for benefits. Compare SBH with other association costs and benefits. More importantly, compare effectiveness and accomplishments in the community.
