SBH's 32nd Annual Conference Rated "Best Ever"

Rock n Roll star Gene Simmons was the keynote speaker at the February 9 Small Business Hawaii Annual Conference. He spoke before a packed crowd with more than 300 attendees yesterday on how to become successful at business (diversify, don't put your eggs all in one basket, fame is fleeting, etc.). After the presentation, Simmons met with SBH members and their guests and took time to sign autographs and take photos. He is shown with SBH director Winnie Chan (above) signing of all things, her clothes, all the while with an A&E TV crew recording the action for an upcoming episode of "Gene Simmons Family Jewels".

Gene Simmons Rocks the House!

Small Business Hawaiis 32nd annual Business & Investment Conference, the first major business event of the year February 9, was rated best ever by a majority of the 400 attendees.

Rock superstar, television personality and fabled business entrepreneur, Gene Simmons (Gene Simmons Family Jewels) was the luncheon keynoter at the SBH conference. He didnt sing but he did share many secrets of business and financial success.

A&E television filmed two 1/2 hour Hawaii episodes featuring Simmons and the SBH conference and several island sites. The episodes are slated to air in late May or June.

Joining SBH during the day on the outstanding program agenda was, Bankoh Chief Economist Paul Brewbaker who presented a sobering economic outlook; Hawaii Superferry CEO, John Garibaldi, who discussed the ships past and future adventures, State Senate President Colleen Hanabusa, discussing the meteoric rise of Leeward Oahu spurred by Ko Olina and a new Disney partnership, Malia Zimmerman of Hawaii Reporter who gave the low down on poor business reporting in Hawaii, Wally Famous Amos on the importance of business involvement with literacy, former U.S. Congressman Ed Case, on the importance of small business involvement in the political and internationally recognized economic education author, Ken Schoolland.
