Hawaii Superferry: Negative Court Decision
By now you probably have heard the negative Maui court decision of a few minutes ago against the Superferry. The Governor is meeting with the Speaker of the House and Senate President today regarding the calling of a special session. While I have continuously supported a special session, I am not convinced that many of my colleagues have the best interests of the Superferry, economic progress in Hawaii and all of Hawaii's residents, as top of mind-especially since several of these colleagues have been active cheerleaders against the Ferry. I will continue my efforts in behalf of this business and transportation alternative and will keep you informed of the latest developments. On Thursday morning, I will discuss this issue in more detail with Senate President Hanabusa on the Rick Hamada radio program, 7 - 8 am, 830 on the dial. Keep the faith. Contact your legislator and the Governor and urge action and leadership.
Aloha,
