SBH Announces New AFLAC Group Insurance Program Small Business Hawaii (SBH) is pleased to endorse our new AFLAC group insurance program. Aflac is offering SBH members both direct and payroll rates with special discounted Flex One Section 125 (Cafeteria Plan) administration fees. Flex One provides a way to apply for a range of Aflac policies through the workplace on a pre-tax basis that may increase take-home pay. This program frees up dollars to fund a variety of benefits the average American family needs to more fully protect the lives, health and income of family members. Aflacs new focus on small businesses provides benefits for employers with as few as one participant. Is a slice of your employee benefits pie missing? Let AFLAC help fill in what is lacking! Workers compensation pays employees, which helps employees if they are hurt by accidents on the job. Major medical pays doctors and hospitals and helps employees prevent overwhelming medical debt. Aflac policy benefits are paid directly to the insured regardless of what is paid by other sources. Employees use the money to help reduce the financial impact of rising deductibles and co-payments, out-of-network charges, daily living costs and out-of-pocket expenses, as well as the loss of income. AFLAC insurance policies: Strengthen benefit packages at little to no cost to the company. Empower employees by giving them the ability to directly receive and manage benefit checks, unless they are assigned. Help attract and retain good employees. Save FICA dollars while increasing your employees purchasing power. Reduce employee dependence on you, particularly if a salary advance or loan is requested. Fortify your retirement commitment since Aflac policies are portable and renewable at the same payroll rate. Make your benefit plans more complete. Turn to AFLAC. Choose Wisely! Your employees trust you to select high-quality benefit providers that give them financial stability and control when they need it most. Important points to consider. Company Experience More than 40 million people worldwide have selected Aflac for their insurance needs. In the United States, Aflac is recognized as a market leader with over 370,000 payroll accounts. Aflac introduced one of the worlds first cancer expense insurance policies in 1958. No insurance plan is complete without this protection. In the United States, men have a little less than 1-in-2 lifetime risk of developing cancer; for women, the risk is a little more than 1-in-3. Every Aflac insurance policy is sold on a voluntary basis. Aflac is the number one provider of individual health and guaranteed-renewable insurance (National Underwriter, August 21/28, 2006). Aflac is rated A+ (superior) for financial strength by A.M. Best Company. For a complete listing of Aflacs recognitions and awards, go to aflac.com. Rates Since the company opened its doors in 1955, Aflac has had a history of rate stability across virtually all product lines. Our most popular U.S. insurance policies, including protection for Cancer, Dental, Hospital Intensive Care, Hospital Confinement Indemnity, Short Term Disability, Accident, Specified Health Event, and Vision, have never been increased by one premium dollar. Claims The majority of claims are processed within four business days. Aflac policies pay regardless of what is paid by other sources. Because Aflac does not coordinate benefits, your employees can submit claims immediately. Preventive Care Aflac includes an annual Wellness Benefit as part of its Cancer/Specified-Disease, Accident, and Hospital Confinement Indemnity insurance policies to encourage early detection of health problems. Maybe its time to review your current benefit package to make sure your employees have the opportunity to add to their financial security through our insurance policy selections. Give your employees the power over cash benefits at the moment of need. Give them Aflac.
