December 2006 | General Election 2006
Four More Years
by Gov. Linda Lingle and Lt. Gov. James "Duke" Aiona
Aloha and mahalo from the very bottom of our hearts for re-electing us to serve another term as your Governor and Lt. Governor.
We were blessed to have such a dedicated team of volunteers who worked day in and day out to reach out to all the people of Hawaii.
It is with great honor and pride that we look forward to leading the State of Hawaii for another four years. Together, we promise to continue working with you to make Hawaii the very best it can be, and we will not let you down.
Every day we are inspired by the creativity and capability of the people of Hawaii, who have demonstrated for generations that we are one of the few places on this earth where people of different races, religions, nationalities, and appearances can live in peace and harmony.
Having overcome what many parts of the world are struggling with, we have used this diversity to turn challenges into opportunities, enabling us to prosper on the most remote island chain on the surface of the globe.
We truly believe Hawaii can serve as a role model for the rest of the world. It is our commitment to work with you to nurture and preserve the things that make Hawaii special, while preparing to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
While we have enjoyed a strong economic turnaround over the last four years, we will work to sustain this momentum while ensuring that all of our citizens share the benefits that a strong economy provides.
We love this state; we love the people; and we love our jobs. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to continue leading the greatest state in the greatest nation.
