    SBH Conference Features Congressman Case, Mayor Hannemann, Governor Lingle, and More

    The 29th annual Small Business Hawaii Conference, the first major business and investment conference of each new year, will be held Wednesday, January 12, 2005. The theme of this year’s conference is “Small Business 2005: Accelerating Hawaii’s Business Recovery and Economic Prosperity.” The event will be held from 8 am to 2 pm in the Hibiscus Ballroom of the Ala Moana Hotel.

    A stellar, all-star lineup of speakers will include: newly elected Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hannemann, Governor Linda Lingle, U.S. Rep. Ed Case and Federal Trade Commissioner Orson Swindle. Also featured will be Honolulu prosecuting Attorney, Peter Carlisle and State DCCA Director, Mark Recktenwald.

    Democrat and Republican state lawmakers will give participants a preview of the upcoming 2005 legislative session, which begins Wednesday, January 19.

    SBH Small Business Success stories will also be highlighted. You will learn tips and strategies from successful business owners.

    There will be an exhibit area and prizes too. This is a great opportunity to network.

    The annual SBH business awards, including the SBH “Small Business Person of the Year” will also be presented by current Small Business Person of the Year, Dale Evans of Charley’s Taxi.
