Small Business Hawaii (SBH) announced winners of its annual Small Business Awards for 2003 at its 28th annual Business and Investment Conference, Wednesday, January 14, 2004 at the Ala Moana Hotel. More than 300 people attended. Selections were made by SBH members and Directors. Awardees did not know in advance. Governor Linda Lingle and presidential investment advisor Dr. John Rutledge were keynote speakers. Awardees were:

Speakers included: Congressman Ed Case; State DBED Director Ted Liu; DCCA's Mark Recktenwald; DLIR head Nelson Befitel and DLNR chief Peter Young. Keynoter Rutledge was bullish on Hawaii's investment and growth potential. SBH was founded by Lex Brodie in1975. SBH is Hawaii's most effective small business advocacy organization with 2,000-plus statewide business firm members.
