Amee Treadwell is New SBH Office Manager

Small Business Hawaii has named Amee Treadwell the new office manager effective December 1. Rep. Bud Stonebraker referred Amee to SBH. She suceeds Susie Weisbrod who will now devote full time to membership sales; expect a call from Susie soon! Amee looks forward to meeting SBH members ã and prospective members ã and helping you with business information and details regarding SBH discounts, benefits and programs. Call her for help.

Amee says, "Aloha SBH members and friends. I recently relocated to Hawaii after the conclusion of my college career. Why did I pick Hawaii? Besides the desire to live in paradise, Hawaii offers big city opportunity with a small community atmosphere. I grew up on the coast of Northern California behind the redwood curtain, where neighbors are friends and friends are family. Since moving to the islands I have found that the aloha spirit embraces and exemplifies all that I have known from my growing up years.

Last June I graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a B.A. in Political Science. To pursue my desire of studying comparitive politics, I studied abroad in China in the summer of 2002. On my return to America I had a heightened appreciation of our democratic, capitalist state. I have been motivated to preserve and promote the founding ideals of our nation. Involvement in SBH gives me the opportunity to work towards sustaining those very ideals of freedom and reduced government by promoting better business in Hawaii.

The upcoming annual conference on January 14 is guaranteed to be a huge success. As a member, don't forget to utilize SBH benefits of lowered insurance cost from AIG, Aloha Petroleum discounts and networking opportunities, just to name a few. We are dedicated to improving the business climate of Hawaii and welcome your support. I look forward to meeting all of you. So please drop by the office to say hello. Dinner parties and lunch dates are welcomed!"
